The Sims 4 and inZOI are the newest rivals in the gaming world. Players can expect exciting features in the upcoming life simulation game.
Many people are calling inZOI the competition that The Sims 4 has never faced before. Some believe it could end The Sims 4's reign. Developed by inZOI Studio and published by Krafton, the new game is set to be released on March 28. But what exactly distinguishes it from The Sims 4?
"Players over profits"
Unlike The Sims, where most DLC and updates come at a cost, inZOI prioritizes "players over profits," as it was presented by Hyungjun "Kjun" Kim, the game's director. According to him, all downloadable content and general updates will be free during the early access period, ensuring that when you purchase the game, you can enjoy a free experience.

More realistic and better graphic quality
While The Sims 4 mods have added some realism to the game, they don't appear as realistic as the models of inZOI. This difference can be attributed to the fact that The Sims is a decade-old game, and the technology used for development has evolved significantly since then.
If you're searching for a game that allows you to customize yourself, your friends and family, or even a celebrity, this could be the perfect choice for you. While the character models are designed to be more realistic, some players may find them to be too "AI-generated," especially if they are seeking a different aesthetic in their gaming experience. You have various customizations to try in the characters going from the face features to makeup, hair style, nails, and much more.

The graphic quality has significantly improved, allowing you to see the environment, objects, and everything around you with much greater detail. Even the simple act of walking looks more natural.
You can drive by yourself!
For many players, this feature is a game-changer. In inZOI, vehicles play a significant role, as you can actually drive them. Not only can you drive, but you can also open the windows, turn on the lights, and exit the car. The interaction between the player and the vehicles is much more engaging. If you want to practice your parallel parking skills before your driving exam, you can do so in inZOI.

There is also a traffic environment where other cars stop at red lights, wait at crosswalks, and more, immersing you in a realistic setting.

More life stages and interactions
If you are concerned about the life stages of your Zois, this could be a positive feature for you. Unlike The Sims 4, inZOI introduces a new life stage called "middle-aged." Currently, there are nine life stages planned for the full launch of InZOI, but only six will be available during the Early Access launch on March 28. You can expect the other stages to be available either in the May, October, or December updates.
- Newborn
- Toddler
- Child (Available in early access)
- Adolescent
- Teen (Available in early access)
- Young Adult (Available in early access)
- Adult (Available in early access)
- Middle-Aged (Available in early access)
- Senior (Available in early access)

Even the interactions between the characters are more realistic, contrary to The Sims which always had some engine limitations. Zois can be "violent," they have more "natural" interactions with objects, and even do things on their own like yoga without you telling them that. They can ride a rollercoaster in first person, play various arcade games, play basketball, and enjoy many more activities. The range of interactions can be unbelievable.
AI-generated customization
The game features Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities that can transform your gameplay experience. You can take a picture of yourself, and the game will create your Zoi character based on your appearance. Additionally, the customization options for your house are unprecedented. You can request the AI to add specific textures to items like sofas, and it will do so.

The game is designed to avoid copyright issues, allowing you to ask the AI to include a variety of elements without concern. KRAFTON promises that all designs are public domain and they have the artists’ consent. The AI offers more flexibility in decoration, whereas The Sims often relies on additional mods or purchases for similar customization options. In inZOI, all customization is built-in and readily available, according to the developers.
Open world and cities that you can customize
The Sims attempted to address the challenges of stability and isolation in city life with The Sims 3, but it wasn't fully realized. inZOI aims to revolutionize this by offering an open world where you can truly customize your cities. In The Sims, players must manually guide their Sims to interact with others. However, in inZOI, the experience is quite different. You can explore a vast city either on foot or by vehicle, all without any loading screens or separate environments. Things like billboards or simple trees can be customized as well as external things like the weather or the hour.

You will have so many things to try you'll get lost in the game! And KRAFTON already promised more features to come so prepare yourself for the next update coming out in May.
