If you have the necessary Trailblaze Level and have completed Part One,

Once you have, you'll unlock Trial of the Equilibrium: Part Two which you'll be able to find in your mission menu under the mission type Universal Equilibrium.

How to beat Equilibrium level 2 bosses

You will face two bosses, a Guardian Shadow and a Stormbringer.

  • Guardian Shadow (Level 39) - Weak to Physical, Quantum and Wind
  • Stormbringer (Level 39) - Weak to Fire, Ice and Imaginary

Neither of the Equilibrium Level 2 bosses is weak to Lightning. Plus, since Welt is the only Imaginary character in version 1.0, you most likely won't have access to that element.

Our suggested comp using free unlockable characters only
Our suggested comp using free unlockable characters only

Trial of the Equilibrium: Part Two suggested comp (free characters only): Trailblazer (Destruction), Asta, Herta and Natasha (for the heal).

The only downside to having Natasha in the party is she's also a Physical character. You could swap Trailblazer to Fire, but the Guardian Shadow's "Silent Ban" can punish the use of Skill in the first battle, so better to have some pure ATK damage to rely on.

Once the first battle is over you can take a breather before facing the second. You can't swap characters but you can consume items. Good items to consume are Enhancement Paste: Fire/Ice, Cosmic Fried Rice or Disposable Shield. You can also at this point resurrect any characters you have died.

The Stormbringer's (middle) ultimate Windfall Storm is more powerful if you have characters affected by Wind Shear
The Stormbringer's (middle) ultimate Windfall Storm is more powerful if you have characters affected by Wind Shear

For the second battle Stormbringer only has one powerful attack called Windfall Storm, which he takes one turn cycle to perform. The damage of this ability varies based on how many of your characters have been affected by Wind Shear. Two of Stormbringer's abilities have a chance to cause Windshear; Watchful Meteor and Wind Walker, so keep an eye on that to avoid you losing a character unnecessarily.
