Free rewards for Honkai Star Rail's 3rd anniversary include 30 pulls, a 5-star character, and more!
Honkai Star Rail version 4.2 not only contains a few new characters and areas, but it is also the patch that the third anniversary falls under! Here is a comprehensive list of all of the free rewards for Trailblazers to celebrate the occasion, including 30 rolls and a free 5-star!
Free 5-star for Honkai Star Rail 3rd Anniversary
First of all, everybody will get a free 5-star character! This comes in the form of a Golden Companion Spirit that will be given away to all players.
The Golden Companion Spirit can be used in the Stellar Convergence store. Huohuo and Robin will both be added to the pool of exchangeable characters. This means that you can use this free 5-star exchange for the following characters:
- Huohuo
- Robin
- Topaz & Numby
- Ruan Mei
- Luocha
- Himeko
- Clara
- Bronya
- Welt
- Gepard
- Yanqing
- Bailu
Additionally, their Signature Light Cones Night of Fright and Flowing Nightglow will enter the Store exchange catalog.
How to get the 30 free draws in HSR 4.2
Here’s what everyone’s been waiting for! A total of 30 free pulls will be given away to celebrate the third anniversary of Honkai Star Rail during version 4.2.
The first 1,600 Stellar Jades are a gift from your companions. Claim it by logging in anytime from April 26 to June 1, 2026.
The remaining 20 pulls in the form of Star Rail Special Passes is a log-in event. Complete 7 days of cumulative check-ins to claim all 20 tickets.
Other HSR 3rd anniversary changes
Standard 5-star characters
Yunli, Argenti, and Silver Wolf can now be selected to replace standard 5-star characters in limited-time banners. Thus, the full roster of choices is now comprised of:

- Gepard
- Clara
- Yanqing
- Bailu
- Seele
- Blade
- Fu Xuan
Top-up bonus and Cherished Recollection
The First-Time Double Top-Up Bonus on Oneiric Pouch purchases will reset on April 22, after version 4.2 goes live.
With this comes the Cherished Recollection event, which allows players to claim various rewards, including a Golden Companion Spirit and the Furbobo Press Corps pet, for buying Oneiric Shards. Cherished Recollection also starts after version 4.2 goes live and lasts until June 1.
Note that these require real-life money to take advantage of and participate in, so plan accordingly.
