This is the game’s first-ever dual class hero skin as well. It can be used by Shaman and Warrior.

Blizzard has announced the arrival of mythic skins in Hearthstone, and the first-ever mythic hero skin goes to Ragnaros, the Firelord.

Ragnaros gets Hearthstone mythic skin

This Ragnaros Hearthstone mythic skin is also a dual class one, which means both the Shaman and Warrior class can use it. According to Nathan Lyons-Smith, the executive producer of the game, the visual appeal of mythics would allow his team to "invest more into the offerings and systems within Hearthstone."

He continued, revealing that a lot of players care about cosmetics. "These are players who have shown a lot of excitement for cosmetics with a higher quality bar–like the C’Thun hero skin and our revamped Signature cards."

Lyons-Smith then shared that his team plans to keep ultra-premium cosmetics special while offering options at various price points, including free rewards.

Hearthstone Ragnaros mythic skin release date

The first-ever mythic skin arrives alongside Hearthstone patch 30.4. Ragnaros is going to be bundled with three Shaman packs and three Warrior packs for $60 USD or 6,000 Runestones.

As for other Hearthstone updates, some upcoming features include a major Arena update, the option to select favorite boards, a pet system in early 2025, plus the build up to the next expansion. The post mentioned a card back, a cosmetic coin, plus two different hero skins as well.

"We have a lot of other exciting irons in the fire, too," Lyons-Smith said. "We’re currently deep into work on the major Arena update we have planned for early next year. And, for our core Standard players, we have some fun updates ahead of us with the build up to our next expansion, including something we’ve never done before!"
