After a weekend of esports action, jeef won the Hearthstone Battlegrounds Lobby Legends Fall Championship! He took home the bulk of the $50,000 USD prize pool and earned the championship title.
Jeef wins Lobby Legends Fall Championship
On Oct. 14 a total of 16 players were divided into two lobbies. The players with the most points after three games then advanced to the championship Sunday on Oct. 15.
To determine the winner, competitors duked it out under the check format. This involved getting a minimum of 20 points and then securing a first-place finish. After earning 28.5 points and claiming first place, jeef took home the gold!
In the post-match interview, jeef revealed that he was on the verge of giving up. However, to him and beterbabbit, as long as one of them won, then it would be exciting for North America's streamer group.
"Dude, that last match was like something else," jeef added. "So much adrenaline just like poured through me when my mana just connected."
Jeef also shared that he and beterbabbit joked on Discord about one of the Hearthstone Battlegrounds Anomalies. Eonar's Overgrown Arena, in particular, gradually buffed up minions in the Tavern for ridiculous stats in the late game.
