It’s random spells and minions galore!
This week's Hearthstone Tavern Brawl is Shiftcon West! Read on for our guide on what it takes to claim victory in Hearthstone's Shiftcon West Tavern Brawl and how to earn a free card pack.
Hearthstone Shiftcon West Tavern Brawl
In this Tavern Brawl, you must make the most out of Shifting Scroll spells and Shifter Zerus minions. Although Shifting Scroll is an Arcane spell from the Mage class, every class can use it in this particular situation.
Here's what these Hearthstone cards do:
- Shifting Scroll: Each turn this is in your hand, transform it into a random Mage spell.
- Shifter Zerus: Each turn this is in your hand, transform it into a random minion.
Shiftcon West Tavern Brawl strategy
The cards that the Shifting Scroll spells and Shifter Zerus minions turn into are random. This means you can play or encounter deadly combinations. For example, if one of your Shifting Scroll spells transforms into Deck of Lunacy and you play the latter card, then the other Shifting Scroll spells in your deck become ones that cost zero mana.
Although this Tavern Brawl features random shenanigans, card draw is useful since it gives you more options. For example, Bwonsamdi, the Dead can fill your hand with Shifter Zerus minions. If you're lucky, then this can help with card synergy on your next turn.
Another strategy that you can try is to control the board. This means doing value trades before going face. You can make the most out of your mana by playing on curve as well. However, keep in mind that the tides can still shift to your opponent's favor due to the random nature of this Tavern Brawl.
After winning your first Tavern Brawl of the week, you'll receive a free Standard card pack. Head back to Hearthstone's main menu and tap on the "Open Packs" button to access your reward.
Since the Shiftcon West Tavern Brawl doesn't require you to create a deck, you can simply jump into the fray. Access this game mode by launching Hearthstone, pressing the "Tavern Brawl" button, clicking on "Choose," selecting a class, and pressing the "Brawl" button.
