Hearthstone players get free Standard card packs ahead of new expansion

Hearthstone players can now unlock three free Standard card packs through Prime Gaming. If you open these card packs once the new expansion launches, then it's possible to get some Whizbang’s Workshop cards. Read on for our quick guide on unlocking these free card packs and how to get a Prime Gaming trial if you're not already subscribed to the service.

To obtain three Standard card packs for free, head over to the Prime Gaming website and log in to your account. Next, type in "Hearthstone" in the search bar and press the "Claim" button.

This takes you to a page that's unique to you. Click on the "Get in-game content" button to claim the three card packs. Additionally, make sure to do this before the offer expires on March 20.

After claiming the Standard card packs, simply launch the game itself. Next, click on the "Open Packs" button in Hearthstone's main menu to check out the free loot.

Prime Gaming is a part of Amazon Prime and Prime Video. This means you need either an Amazon Prime and Prime Video subscription to use Prime Gaming. However, if you don't wish to pay for it, then you can sign up for a free trial.

Visit the Prime Gaming homepage and press the "Try Prime" button to do this. Then, follow the instructions to set everything up. Check the list of supported countries and territories. Make sure to cancel your trial in time if you don't wish to continue with the subscription later as well.

Remember to connect your Prime Gaming and Battle.net accounts, too. Do this by logging in to your Prime Gaming account, authorizing it, and verifying your Battle.net account.
