Hearthstone Battlegrounds Season 8 release date, Trinkets, rewards, and more

Blizzard has announced the arrival of Hearthstone Battlegrounds Season 8. This season features the new Trinkets mechanic, Marin the Manager as a new hero, and a slew of rewards. Read on for the Hearthstone Battlegrounds Season 8 release date and details!

Season 8, also known as Trinkets & Travels, takes off on Aug. 20. This means the Battlegrounds Ratings are getting reset as well. Additionally, according to Blizzard, Battlegrounds Buddies are rotating out to make room for Trinkets.

Trinkets are passive power-ups that can be purchased with gold in Hearthstone Battlegrounds. You can use Trinkets for the rest of a match as well. Think of them like Quest Rewards.

These Trinkets are offered twice per game on turns six and nine, too. Players can select from four options.

Next, Marin the Manager is entering the game mode in Season 8. Marin the Manager's hero power is a passive that lets you select a Lesser Trinket to buy on your fifth turn.

As always, the Hearthstone Battlegrounds Rewards Track refreshes at the start of the new season. Some free rewards to note include the Beach Chenvaala, Moody Jandice, Castle Mutanus, and Shark Patchwerk hero skins. There are also emotes and strikes up for grabs.

For the paid version of the Rewards Track, it features hero skins such as Exodar Guff, Future Vacation Nozdormu, Snorkeler Elise, Royal Edwin, Sunburned C'Thun, Ski Ragnaros, and more. Of course, there's no shortage of strikes and emotes, either.

Ahead of the new season, some content creators will reveal some new minions and Tavern Spells as well. Below is the reveal schedule.
