Every deck & line-up for the Hearthstone Spring Championship

We are only hours away from the Hearthstone Spring Championship action, but players have already submitted their decks and line-ups. In this article, we will showcase the competitive meta and share with you the codes so you can test them yourself.

As you might already know, the players were divided into four double eliminations groups, and the winners will advance to the final Top 8 playoff. Knowing their opponents in advance, Hearthstone Spring Championship players could tailor their decks or line-ups to target someone in particular.

These are the group pairings:

Let's analyze the Hearthstone Spring Championship decks and line-ups group by group. In group A, we need to highlight gyu, the only player to bring Pirate Rogue to the tournament. You can check every player's line-up in the following gallery:

The surprise, given how much representation the deck had on ladder, is that there are only two Blood Death Knights in the Hearthstone Spring Championship. One of them was brought by levik, and the other one by Meati (Gropu D).

Frost Death Knights and Outcast Demon Hunters are the most popular decks in this group, something similar to what happens in Hearthstone ladder.

Group B brings a surprise for all of us courtesy of Surrender. He is the only one who brought the Armor Druid deck in his line-up to the Hearthstone Spring Championship. Bold move, but it might work. The rest of the group revolves around the same five archetypes.

The main difference besides Surrender's Armor Druid is the choice between Relic Demon Hunter and the new Outcast Demon Hunter. Miracle Rogue and Frost Death Knight have a 100% representation in this group.

The third Hearthstone Spring Championship group follows the same deck and line-up patterns as Group B. But there is one difference. PocketTrain decided to bring Aggro Mage to the event, maybe trying to counter the expected Frost Death Knights with Solid Alibies.

One deck that we haven't mentioned yet and it's a bit of a surprise is Tony Druid. Five players brought this deck in their line-ups to the Hearthstone Spring Championship. This could be because players were expecting a lot of Blood Death Knights, a very favorable match-up. However, it might suffer against Outcast Demon Hunters and Miracle Rogues.

The final group comes with yet another surprise. Mesmile brought a unique deck in his Spring Championship line-up, Pure Paladin. The recently nerfed deck performs exceptionally well against Tony Druid, but besides that, it doesn't seem to have many other good match-ups.

Group D is also the home of the second and last Blood Death Knight in the tournament. Meati chose to bring the XL variant with Renathal - the only XL deck in the event.

One thing that I wanted to mention is that the Hearthstone Spring Championship is a unique event in terms of decks and line-ups. First of all, the tournament happens less than two weeks after the Festival of Legends expansion and Year of the Wolf rotation.

Despite the fact that we are on a fresh metagame, there are some clear trends to highlight:

The last thing to consider about the Hearthstone Spring Championship regarding decks and line-ups is the fact that this tournament is a "winner takes it all" kind of event. Despite there being a $50,000 prize pool distributed for the 16 players, the relevant prize is the World Championship invitation for the winner.

This encourages players to lean towards high-risk/high-reward strategies. That is something to take into consideration as well when analyzing the decks and line-up for this Hearthstone seasonal Championship.
