Dreadeye comes back from his Hearthstone retirement and hits #1 Legend in every server!

With Hearthstone’s meta still shaping after the Audiopocalyspe Miniset, Dreadeye dominates the ladder!

Last night, Dreadeye achieved something very few Hearthstone players did before him, triple rank #1 Legend! What's more, he did it on stream! Let's go over how Dreadeye went from retiring to being the top-ranked Hearthstone in the world in just a few weeks!

From Retirement to Triple Hearthstone #1 Legend

Dreadeye has always been a superb Hearthstone player. He was part of the Grandmasters program and has been grinding ladder this season to try and make it to worlds. But achieving a #1 Legend in every Hearthstone server is not an easy task, and, interestingly, it happened three weeks after announcing retirement.

Dreadeye was not into the past Hearthstone metagame. The feeling went so deep that he decided to uninstall the game out of frustration.

"Honestly the main fuel for this decision is every patch I expect something good just turns out to be the same dogshit again. We are never going back to Stormwind when I had to plan 3 turns ahead."

Dreadeye about the reasons behind his retirement

While this decision seemed final, it was probably an impulsive call after being overwhelmed by the game. Five days after retiring, Dreadeye came back to the game, and three weeks later, made it to top Hearthstone Legend, and is fighting to get into the next Masters Tour.

Dreadeye's decks

During the past few days, Dreadeye dominated the Hearthstone Legend meta using mainly two decks. The first one used was the aggressive Spell Demon Hunter. This lists abuses of Stheno's in combination with the new Audiopocalypse card Throuogh Fel and Flames and Abusibe Seargent.

Dreadeye had a 107W-47L record (yep, 69% winrate), which is impressive for any Hearthstone player at high legend. The other list he used to climb was Gaby's Enrage Warrior. Warrior got to the top of the mountain once again, after one year!

What's next?

So after getting to the summit, there's only one way, and it's going down. Many Hearthstone players are attempting to take the #1 Legend spots from Dreadeye as we speak.

With the second Hearthstone Esports season ending in June, Dreadeye and many other competitive players are grinding legend and aiming to qualify for the Summer Seasonal Championship. Only four players per server will make it to the second Masters Tour of 2023.

These are the general Hearthstone seasonal standings today, without taking into account June points. The top-4 from every server, plus the top-4 worldwide who haven't qualified will be part of the next 16-player Masters Tour event. These guys are trully the ones who rule Hearthstone top Legend:
