Hearthstone patch 29.6 is welcoming back Buddies in the Battlegrounds game mode. The return of Buddies also coincides with their debut in Hearthstone Battlegrounds Duos.
Buddies return to Hearthstone Battlegrounds
Patch 29.6 of Hearthstone features the return of Buddies in Battlegrounds plus the debut of them in Battlegrounds Duos. In these game modes, Buddies refer to minions assigned to each hero. While playing either Battlegrounds or Battlegrounds Duos, you can get copies of your chosen hero's Buddy to help you claim victory as well.
How do Buddies work in Hearthstone Battlegrounds?
To get the Buddy that's unique to your hero, press on the Buddy Button in Hearthstone Battlegrounds. Its cost depends on its Tavern Tier. You can press this button twice throughout a game. Pressing the button the first time results in getting one copy of a Buddy. Pressing the button the second time results in getting two copies.
"Finally, since this is the first time we’ve had Buddies in Duos, we’re temporarily adding 10 seconds to all turn-timers in Duos while you get acquainted," Blizzard also stated in an announcement.
