Halo Infinite’s Campaign Mode is still planned for December 8.
It was XBOX’s 20th-anniversary celebration and Microsoft had a big surprise for us. Halo Infinite Multiplayer is now available on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC and it’s free. Microsoft pulled a Halo out of its hat with Infinite’s launch on November 15.
It’s a Blast from the Past as Halo Infinite releases partially to the world. Halo has become synonymous with the XBOX brand and its latest release is bound to bring some memories for several gamers. The sixth Halo game aims to recapture some of this audience and Microsoft’s surprise release is already creating a buzz around the game.
Technically, the game is still in beta, but Microsoft has promised continuity into the game’s release.
The Most Awaited XBOX title releases early… well, almost
Today is the 20-year anniversary of the release of the original XBOX. On November 15, 2001, XBOX was released to the public. It was a gamble for Microsoft, a company more popular as a software giant (even today).
The XBOX release 20 years ago was accompanied by Halo: Combat Evolved. The franchise has gone on to become a massive hit over the years and in many ways is the face of XBOX gaming.
When Does Halo Infinite Campaign Release?
Halo Infinite Campaign will still release on December 8 as originally planned. Players can also pre-order the campaign today on steam or XBOX.
Season 1 kicks off today and will last till May 2022. 343 Industries has plans of seasons lasting three months, but the first season is an extended one to allow the developers to meet the high standards and expectations for Season 2.
Season 1 will last from now until May 2022, which is a change from our original goal of shipping a new Season every three months. We made the decision to extend Season 1 to give ourselves more time to ensure Season 2 meets our high-quality bar and so we can finish development for Season 2 in a healthy and sustainable way for our team.
What’s Included in Halo Infinite at Launch?
Players can get access to a free collection of 20th anniversary-themed cosmetics. Season 1 opening event “Fracture: Tenrai” will kick off on November 23.
The developers will release more information about Season 2, campaign co-op, and Forge release plans in January.
