Halo Infinite’s competitive scene continues into 2025, as 343 Studios has confirmed there will be an HCS Year 4.
The Halo World Championship 2024 was near the end of its first day. Just before OpTic Gaming vs. Sentinels took place on the main stage, Tahir “Tashi” Hasandjekic hopped on the desk to confirm HCS Year 4 for Halo Infinite.
Details are scarce for now, but we'll go over what we saw during the announcement.

Halo Infinite to have an HCS Year 4 in 2025
The Halo Championship Series celebrates its 10th anniversary in November. Recognition will happen all weekend long during the HaloWC in Seattle. And on Saturday, the first 1,000 people to enter the venue get a special HCS 10 Year shirt.
That was the first announcement from Tashi. Second, he discussed a Halo 2 LAN being held in Las Vegas by LVL 50. 343 Studios declared a donation of $25,000 to go towards the event's prize pool.
Following that is where the HCS news comes in. Tashi confirmed that Halo Infinite will be back for another year of competition with HCS Year 4. That's about all we were given regarding another year of the Halo Championship Series.
We weren't told any dates or any locations, so those are obviously going to come at a later date. There's no doubt the partnered HCS teams will remain, along with a similar event schedule and format to HCS' 2024. And the $1 million prize pool for the World Championship returns.
Of course, this also means we probably won't get a new Halo game for a little while longer. If HCS Year 4 goes all the way through 2025, that's another entire calendar without a Halo release. We could still see at least a spin-off or announcement in the middle of it all, so keep your fingers crossed.
