“Cherries Snow-Laden”: how to get the new Hu Tao 5.3 outfit

Hu Tao is the first character to receive a new special outfit in 2025. In red and white, looking like a Christmas princess, Hu Tao's latest outfit is already out. It was inspired by the New Lunar Year, happening on January 29. But how can you obtain the "Cherries Snow-Laden" outfit?

Unfortunately for the fans, the outfits of the five-star characters like Hu Tao are only available via purchase. To buy it, you can access your shop in-game and you'll see the purchase location right away.

Don't be sad yet! As you can see in the shop, there is now a discount you can't miss if you want the outfit. Until the end of version 5.3 - February 10 - the outfit will cost you 1,350 Genesis Crystals. After that, the price goes up to 1,680 Genesis Crystals.

The 77th Director of the Wangsheng Funeral Parlor received this outfit from Xiangling, a four-star character and the Head Chef at the Wanmin Restaurant. Xiangling will also receive a new outfit during the Lantern Rite Festival, an annual event in celebration of the New Lunar Year - but that outfit will be free for all the players who complete the event.

Some fans noticed similarities between Hu Tao's outfit and Childe's. This fan post on the Genshin Impact official Reddit triggered more than 2000 upvotes. Even with the color palette and the Chinese references, the players seemed happy with the new outfit since Hu Tao was released three years ago (Genshin Impact was launched in 2020) and had not received a skin.
