Attention Genshin players: We’re getting 1000 Primogems for free!

I'm not kidding you — it's true: HoYoverse will give out 1,000 Primogems for free to every Genshin Impact player starting on Dec. 4. Every day until Dec. 8, you'll receive 200 Primogems in your in-game mail. You don't have to do a thing — just collect them. They will be available until the end of Version 5.2, which means until the end of the year. But why are we receiving Primogems?

The winners of the 30th Anniversary of PlayStation Partner Awards were revealed on Dec. 3. Various games were recognized for their creative work and success in the Asian region. Genshin Impact received the Excellence Award for their "consistent and significant impact along with commercial success over the past three years," as the Genshin Impact Updates account on X explained.

To thank fans and players for their support in making Genshin Impact a standout in the gacha game world, HoYoverse is gifting 1,000 Primogems over the next few days.

"All Travelers who have reached Adventure Rank 7 or above can claim the in-game mail after logging into the game. The mail will expire after 30 days, so don't forget to claim the rewards in time," Genshin Impact's official page explained after thanking all the players for their love of the game.

In total, you can recieve 10 wishes to save or pull for Chasca or Lyney. You can also wait until the next banner featuring Neuvillette and Zhongli.

After winning the Grand Awards for years, Genshin Impact has now won in the newest category on the PlayStation Partner Awards. The Excellence Awards were created to honor a single game created in Asia that had both commercial success and cultural impact over a three-year period, and Genshin Impact was that game. The Grand Awards honor three games every year, while the Excellence Awards recognize only one game.

Fun fact: the HoYoverse team showed their game designer Dai Wei's cat as their company representative, and he's the cutest thing ever.

HoYoverse was predominant in the ceremony, also taking home awards for Honkai: Star Rail and Zenless Zone Zero in the Partners Awards category.
