Everything you need to know about the Zenless Zone Zero Amplifying Test launching on April 17, how to participate in it, and more.

The third beta test, officially called the Amplifying Test, for Zenless Zone Zero becomes playable to those who have received invites this very evening. This marks yet another exciting milestone for HoYoverse's newest and highly-anticipated title.

With two playtests already concluded, this Amplifying Test will be the most complete form of Zenless Zone Zero yet. Some community members even speculate this will be the final beta test before release.

What is Zenless Zone Zero?

Zenless Zone Zero is the latest game by HoYoverse, the studio behind the massively popular Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail. The action RPG features a lively anime-inspired aesthetic paired with a groovy soundtrack reminiscent of the Persona series and a wide-ranging cast of exciting characters.

The game is set in the vibrant, urban city of New Eridu, the last stronghold against the destructive mysteries known as the Hollows. These are seemingly random disasters that appear around the city and spawn monsters, known as Ethereals, keen on destroying it.

However, the resilient citizens of New Eridu have made a life for themselves extracting resources from the various Hollows that pop up around their beloved city. Over time, they've even industrialized the process, incorporating Hollows into their capitalistic society.

Your mission as a Proxy

You as the player are known to the people of New Eridu as a "Proxy," a professional Hollow guide. Together with other brave adventurers, you aim to thoroughly explore the Hollows. Successfully doing so allows you to earn riches, discover more about the mysterious calamities, and get to know your fellow party members.

Who can play the Zenless Zone Zero Amplifying Test?

The third Zenless Zone Zero beta is a closed, limited test that will have all data deleted once it ends. Unfortunately, the window during which anyone over the age of 16 could sign up for a chance to play has already closed.

However, there are a few methods still available for those itching to win a Test Qualification.

  • The Amplifying Test webpage-sharing event gives aspiring players a chance to win a Test Qualification by simply pre-registering for the game and successfully inviting friends to do the same.
  • The Volume Amplification event will prompt aspiring players to complete five different tasks. These vary from pre-registering for Zenless Zone Zero to simply following some of the game's official social media accounts. Each completed task grants an additional chance to win Test Qualification, a Razer Laptop, an iPhone 15, Sony Wireless Headphones, and more.

Regardless of luck, pre-registering for Zenless Zone Zero via the official Sign-Up Page will still grant you some rewards in the form of in-game items upon the game's full release.

Additionally, HoYoverse is conducting a Zenless Zone Zero Fan Photography Contest and a Fan Art Contest where fans can win awesome prizes by showcasing their creative talents. Prizes include cameras, gaming peripherals, smartphones, audio equipment and exclusive merchandise.

Device Requirements

If you've been lucky enough to receive an invite, make sure that your device(s) of choice meet the device requirements HoYoverse has outlined for this beta test.

HoYoverse states in their Server Opening Announcement that "your Test Qualification will be tied to the first device you log in with on each platform." Accounts that switch devices on a given platform during the test (ie: iPhone to iPad) will be instantly banned. For this reason, it's best not to waste your invite on an underpowered device.
