You can also create your sidekick in the game
It's common for most RPGs to feature sidekicks and followers for the main character. What's new here is that Dragon's Dogma 2 allows you to create your main sidekick, or "pawn", as the game calls them.
According to the official site, the player can lead a party of up to 3 different pawns, but they can customize and create a character as their "main" pawn. This is also available as part of the character creator pre-load.

When does Dragon's Dogma 2 release?
The game will release across platforms (PC, Xbox, Playstation) on March 22. Players can pre-order the game on these platforms right now or choose to wait until it is released to purchase it digitally.
The character players will create is known as "The arisen" in a world called Vermund, Kingdom of Humanity where this character is the ruler.
