It’s hard to keep up with all new game releases nowadays.
In case you haven't been keeping up with new games this year, there's a solid chance you don't know what is Spectre Divide. Meanwhile, there is a chance your friends are already playing it.
Fear not, though. Come with us and learn what type of game is Spectre Divide and how you can play it now in August 2024.
What type of game is Spectre Divide?
Spectre Divide is a new three-versus-three (3v3) first-person shooter (FPS) tactical shooter. It's the first game developed by Mountaintop Studios, a studio financially backed by angel investors such as the renowed gamers Michael "shroud" Grzesiek and Tarik "tarik" Celik, and NBA superstar Paul George.
The game is similar to tactical shooters like Counter-Strike and VALORANT in the sense that you play a bomb defusal mode, pick your weapons in every round, and either defend or attack a bombsite.
However, there are a couple of factors that differs Spectre Divide from the other tactical shooters available in the market:
- The unique graphics that resemble Japanese anime from the '90s.
- The concept of Duality. In Spectre Divide, you control two bodies in real-time, which allows you to defend two sites at once or even trade yourself, for example. This is possible because you can use Duality to swap to your second body, the Spectre, at any moment in the game. Even if you die, you'll have the chance to get revenge with your Spectre.
