Street Fighter dominates Evo 2024 stream: Event stats and more

The numbers for Evo 2024 were recently released, regarding stream numbers per game, and it looks like Street Fighter dominated the charts. With a crazy amount of fans watching from home, Evo 2024 was absolutely ballistic, and it seems like Street Fighter held the most popularity (which was expected).

With Street Fighter 6 just being released last year, many fans were excited to witness fighting tournament history with it being close to the game's one-year anniversary.

Taking place from July 19 to 21, 2024, Evo capped out at some incredibly high numbers, making it one of the biggest tournaments hosted this year. With various different fighting games having designated tournaments at the event, only one could rule them all.

That game is Street Fighter 6.

The popular fighting game has been dominating numbers at Evo events for years now, but this year it generated more than half the viewership for the entirety of the event.

According to escharts, Street Fighter 6 generated 53% of Evo 2024's total hours watched. The game had 3.66 million hours watched, whereas Tekken 8 (second place) had 1.32 million hours watched. That is more than a 100% increase in numbers.

Evo 2024 saw a 48% increase in viewership this year compared to the 2022 event two years ago. With over 150 hours of gameplay streamed during the entirety of the weekend, Evo 2024 continued to shape the long and (hopefully) successful road for fighting game tournaments alike.
