Razer signs iconic esports organisation Ninjas in Pyjamas in multi-year partnership

Razer has joined forces with Ninjas in Pyjamas, aligning two veterans of the esports scene. The Razer-NiP partnership will be a multi-year deal.

Razer, the leading global lifestyle brand for gamers, have signed a multi-year partnership with Ninjas in Pyjamas, an iconic brand with over 20 years in the esports scene. It is a fitting partnership given both companies involvement in the evolution of the esports landscape. As part of the Razer-NiP partnership, fans of the team will be able to get their hands on Razer customs gaming peripherals to support their favourite team.

Razer-NiP partnership aligns legendary team with esports pioneer

“NIP are a legendary esports team, just as Razer has always been a pioneer within esports,” said Flo ElChikito Gutierrez, Director of Global Esports at Razer. “Our organizations never settle for anything less than being the best. Ninjas in Pyjamas was created all the way back in 2000. Over the years the name has become synonymous with excellence, particularly in the Counter-Strike franchise. CS heroes such as Patrik "f0rest" Lindberg, Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund and Robin "Fifflaren" Johansson all carved out their legacy during their time at NiP.

Over the last 20+ years, Ninjas in Pyjamas have competed in over 350 tournaments and amassed prize winnings of $6.4 million. While they have excelled in Counter-Strike 1.6 and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, the organisation recently saw success with other titles. In May 2021, NiP's Brazilian Rainbow Six Siege team was crowned world champions at the Six Invitational.
