Along with a release date announcement and a killer Halsey performance it was also revealed by Blizzard that pre-orders of Diablo 4 will come with a WoW mount surprise. Anyone who pre-orders the standard edition of Diablo 4, set for release June 6, 2023. The bonus is a renewal of brand synergy between Diablo and World of Warcraft, with past in-game items including the likes of the Mini Tyrael pet.

Revealed in a recent datamine, players who pre-order the next installment in the legendary Diablo franchise will receive the WoW flying mount Amalgam of Rage. This non-Dragonriding mount features multiple heads, flaming wings, and some unique animations when mounting or standing idle. The mount takes on the visage of multiple legendary beasts, including Cerberus, a manticore, and the flaming wings of the Balrog. Maybe it couldn't decide what it wanted to be and just went with 'all of the above.'

To answer your two biggest questions: No, the mount is not a pre-order bonus, but instead appears included with all versions of the game.
