Pokémon Legends: Z-A is planning to reintroduce TMs, which were removed in the first Legends game. Here is everything you need to know.
One of the biggest features of Pokémon is the ability to learn different moves. While Pokémon learn moves from leveling up, they can also learn moves by using Technical Machines (TMs), which were not a part of the first Pokémon Legends game. However, Pokémon Legends: Z-A plans to reintroduce TMs with a brand new additional screen to make learning moves easier.
TMs to return in Pokémon Legends: Z-A
While TMs never left the main Pokémon series, they were never introduced in Pokémon Legends: Arceus. Players had to learn moves by visiting a specific character. However, it looks as if Pokémon Legends: Z-A is much closer to the main series's timeline, meaning TMs are back.
So, what are Technical Machines? These small discs hold specific moves that Pokémon can learn. Once the TM has been used, however, it is gone. You have to choose wisely which Pokémon you want to teach it to.

TMs are a great tool to teach your Pokémon powerful moves that they may not learn themselves. Moves such as Flamethrower, Hydro Pump and more can be easily accessible with TMs.
In the past, though, using TMs to teach moves could be tedious. Luckily, Pokémon Legends: Z-A will be introducing a brand new screen that makes using TMs much easier.

Pokémon Legends: Z-A to introduce move-learning screen
In past games, to use TMs, players had to open up their bag and search for the right TM that they want to use. However, Pokémon Legends: Z-A will be adding a brand new screen that makes using TMs much more efficient.
This news was leaked by popular Twitter leaker, Centro Leaks, who provided proof from an official demo of the game.
This new screen will let players learn and relearn TMs from the same screen, putting everything in one area. This will make the entire process of learning new moves much easier.
The game is currently set to release on October 16, 2025, and will mark a historic moment within the Pokémon franchise.
