PlayStation has finally announced the Borderlands 4 release date and it might not be as soon as many fans were expecting. Gearbox and 2K have officially announced that Borderlands 4 will launch in September this year.
When is Borderlands 4 releasing?
Borderlands 4 will be released this year on September 23, 2025. The game will release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store. There has been no information on the Borderlands 4 storyline. With the last title relying heavily on humor, it will be interesting to see if Borderlands 4 takes on a more serious role.
Borderlands 3 features new lands and you can traverse the landscape alone or with up to three friends. The game was first revealed earlier this year at the Gamescom Opening Night Live. There was yet another sighting at the Penny Arcade Expo in Seattle getting the game’s massive fanbase very excited about its release. With the developers themselves highlighting the game might be the best Borderlands yet, the hype is at an all-time high for this title.
So what exactly happens in Borderlands 4? The world order is threatened after a catastrophic event throws things into chaos and disarray. As the main protagonist, you need to fight your way through the various obstacles and the different types of enemies. Players can glide, dodge, double jump, and fixed-point grapple through the different terrains across the map.
