Nintendo Fukuoka will open its doors later this year.
Nintendo has announced that it will open a new location in Japan this year. This will be the Nintendo Fukuoka store.
Nintendo Fukuoka to open in 2025
Nintendo Fukuoka will open its doors by the end of 2025, making it the first retail expansion outside of the country's main island of Honshu. The Nintendo Fukuoka store will be the company's fourth official location in Japan as well.
Within Nintendo's official post about it on social media, the majority of folks reacted positively to the news. In Japanese, many people expressed excitement, talked about how they've been waiting for this, and how they cannot wait to visit Nintendo's Fukuoka location. One user, for example, also praised how it's inside of the AMU Plaza Hakata City shopping mall.

Meanwhile, some users wished for an official Nintendo store in Nagoya, which is Japan's fourth biggest city following Tokyo, Yokohama, and Osaka.
Will there be a Nintendo Nagoya in the future? Only time will tell. In addition to Nintendo Fukuoka, the other stores in the country are located in Osaka, Tokyo, and Kyoto.
Outside of Japan, Nintendo recently opened its second U.S. store in San Francisco's Union Square. This location celebrated its opening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony led by San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie on May 15. Another store location in the states is Nintendo New York.
