Nic Cage is about to loop the hell out of you in Gideon Meat Plant!
Behaviour Interactive, the developer of Dead by Daylight, announced today on Twitter that Nicolas Cage will be added to Dead by Daylight in some way in the near future. How did this happen? What timeline are we in? And most importantly; will he be a survivor or a killer?
Dead by Daylight is the asymmetrical horror game that pits four survivors against one killer. DBD is famous for its collabs, crossovers, and DLC characters. The first addition to the game’s killer cast was Halloween’s Michael Myers and has since expanded to include Freddy Krueger, Ghostface, Pyramid Head, Resident Evil’s Nemesis and Wesker, and even the Demogorgon from Stranger Things for a period of time. Now the Fog has claimed another. Nicolas friggin’ Cage.

What do we know about Nicolas Cage in DBD?
So far, there’s no official information besides the news that Nic Cage will be in DBD in some capacity. However, the short teaser also showed snippets of what looks like a movie set in disarray. This could mean a new map will be added as well, but nothing is confirmed.
It seems more likely than not that Cage will be a new survivor rather than a killer, but imagine how amazing it would’ve been to get tunneled by Nic Cage, shouting “I want to take your face. Off.” Further information will be released on July 5, so hopefully we’ll get to know more about this amazing collab and how you’ll be able to play as Nic Cage.
So far, the fan reaction to the announcement has been overwhelmingly positive. This isn’t too surprising considering he’s a national treasure. In fact, hints about this announcement had leaked earlier, but most fans had written it off as a fake out. Looks like Personally, we're holding out for a cosmetic line full of iconic Cage movie characters. The possibilities are endless.
However, one last detail can be found in this short trailer. Nicolas Cage is wearing a distinct red jacket, the same as his outfit in an upcoming movie titled “Sympathy for the Devil”, which may come out later this year. Perhaps this DBD collab will be a promotion for the new movie?
