Nintendo just revealed a date for its next Nintendo Direct, including the contents that will be on display during it. Here is what we know.

It is always a good day when Nintendo announces a new Direct. The gaming company revealed on Twitter earlier today the date of their next Nintendo Direct, while also giving fans a look into what would be covered during the event (and no, it will not be Pokémon or Zelda).

Here is what we know regarding the next Nintendo Direct, including a date, content and more.

Date officially revealed for next Nintendo Direct

Have you been waiting for the next Nintendo Direct date to drop? An official date was revealed earlier today (January, 23, 2026) on Twitter regarding the Direct, while also including a look into what we will learn during the event.

Nintendo’s next Nintendo Direct will take place on January 25, 2026, at 6 am PST. Most Nintendo Directs usually last around an hour, but can either be from 30 minutes to two hours depending on what type of content is planned to be announced.

So, what is Nintendo planning for its next Direct?

What we know about the next Nintendo Direct

It would seem as if this upcoming Nintendo Direct, set to take place this January 25, will be centered around showcasing the upcoming Super Mario Galaxy movie, which will release on April 3, 2026.

However, it would seem as if Nintendo has made it very clear that this upcoming Nintendo Direct will not feature any sort of game information.

“Please note that no game information will be included in this presentation,” said Nintendo on a recent Twitter post. The event will probably reveal a few additional characters that have not been shown in previous trailers and maybe a look at some of the planets Mario and Luigi will explore.

More than likely, this event will be quite short. Although, we already know that Nintendo plans to make some huge announcements in February regarding the Pokémon 30th anniversary and The Legend of Zelda 40th anniversary, so there will be at least two Nintendo Directs next month.

The event will be watchable here.
