Mortal Kombat 1 is a soft reboot for the franchise whose last edition was Mortal Kombat 11. The game is a reimagining of the universe created by Fire God Liu Kang and as such, fans can expect renewed versions of several characters.

The game also introduces Kameo fighters, which act as supportive characters during matches. This provides a significant expansion of gameplay and complexity for fans. Just like Street Fighter 6, Mortal Kombat 1 will also include Rollback Netcode for online matches. This should help provide a relatively smooth experience for players.

Mortal Kombat is available on Playstation, Xbox, PC as well as Nintendo Switch. The game releases in September 2023. f
