Dr Disrespect re-enters his old game developer passions with new gaming studio, Midnight Society.
Guy “Dr Disrespect” Reahm is venturing back to his early roots as a game developer with his new AAA Game Studio, MIdnight Society.
The Midnight Society AAA game studio is a project that was initially brought to light five months ago back in August 2021. Initially, without a name Dr Disrespect made a post looking for new game developers to help with a future project that is now coming to fruition.
What is Midnight Society?
Midnight Society is a new AAA Game studio founded by streamer Guy “Dr Disrespect” Beahm, Robert Bowling, and Quinn DelHoyo. The game developer trio will put focus into combining their experience working on games like Call of Duty, Halo, and Gears of War to create ground-breaking multiplayer games. DrDisrespect tweeted about looking for a Studio Head earlier this year.
And the new AAA Game studio is a project that is nearly a decade in the making. Bowling and Beahm quickly became friends while working on Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 together. Over years, the two often discussed ways to improve the process of game development.
Meanwhile, the two met Bowling while designing classic levels and weapons for Gear of War. This ultimately, led DelHoyo, to help shape the Halo Series. Now as a game developer trio, they look to utilize their years of experience to create new multiplayer games that can eventually surpass the games they worked on before.
“As a long-time player, streamer, and former game developer myself, I’ve often dreamed of creating awesome titles that entire communities can get behind from day one.” Reahm detailed. “My vision is to make games that defy the one-and-done publishing model and reward all those fans and influencers who make them a success. I’m so excited to show everyone what we have planned.”
Using the platform to enter old passions
Dr Disrespect is one of the most active streaming personalities outside of the on-camera personality. When he is not streaming, the popular streamer continues to work on multiple different projects. As of writing, Dr Disrespect currently has 3.5 million subscribers on Youtube and has kept his streaming strictly on the platform following his Twitch ban in 2020.
Aspiring game developers and fans of Dr Disrespect will also have the opportunity to be a part of the new Midnight Society project. Interested parties can head over to Careers to possibly be part of the new AAA Game studio.
