Divinity is back, and apparently bigger than ever.

One of the major highlights at The Game Awards 2025 show was the reveal of the new Divinity game. Developer Larian Studios, the same team behind the two original Divinity: Original Sin games and Baldur's Gate 3, showcased a jaw-dropping trailer at the show. This came after the placement of a secret monolith in the desert that went viral across the Internet, which we know was directly related to the new Divinity project.

While we don't have any gameplay or even a release date for the new game, we do know that it's going to be Larian Studios' biggest project ever, apparently surpassing that of Baldur's Gate 3.

New Divinity set to be Larian Studios' biggest game ever

The Game Awards host, Geoff Keighley, gave us a little bit of info after the intense trailer aired at the show. According to Keighley and, by extension, Larian Studios, the new Divinity is going to be a massive undertaking. We don't know too much about how the game ties into the Original Sin universe, if it even does, but we do know that it's going to be another classic RPG from Larian.

Larian Studios has created arguably the two best CRPGs of this generation in Divinity: Original Sin 2 and Baldur's Gate 3. If you've played one or both of those revolutionary titles, you know just how in-depth they are in terms of their world, story, and progression.

However, Larian is stating that the new Divinity project will be even bigger. What the studio means by "bigger" is still slightly a mystery, but it seems like the upcoming RPG will feature even more overall depth than their previous two games.

If the trailer from The Game Awards is anything to go by, Larian Studios could be well on their way to releasing yet another contender or winner for Game of the Year in the future.
