Pokémon World Championships 2023

This year's Pokémon World Championships will be held in Japan for the first time ever. The featured games will include Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, the Pokémon Trading Card Game (TCG), Pokémon Go, and Pokémon Unite. The 2023 events will happen between Aug. 11 and Aug. 13 in Yokohama.

After introducing the key art for the Pokémon World Championships, the livestream showcased Pokémon TCG Classic. This TCG will feature a portable two-player board that has zones for active, benched, deck, discord, and prize card placements. The center of the board will also allow players to store up to three decks.

Pokémon Concierge on Netflix

That's not all. The Pokémon Day 2023 livestream then announced a brand-new Netflix series. Pokémon Concierge will feature original stories that will excite audiences, according to Minyoung Kim. Kim is Netflix's Asia Pacific vice president of content. The stop-motion clip showed Psyduck at the Pokémon Resort.

Pokémon Unite updates

Meanwhile, Pokémon Unite received new updates. Zacian is now a part of these battles and has some special holowear. Next, the players can partake in the Zacian's Weald and Boss Rush events. To celebrate Pokémon Day 2023, the game also has a special code that players can use to obtain a gold Zacian boost emblem. Moreover, there's an invitation-only league happening that will decide the Pokémon Unite champions for the Asia region.

Pokémon Café ReMix game

In the Pokémon Café Remix game, players get to meet Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly. Processing through this event means selecting one of these starter Pokémon to join your staff. Players also have until March 27 at 9:59 p.m. PT to log in and get the Great Chef outfit for Greninja. Meanwhile, Victini, Mimikyu, Eevee, and Celebi will temporarily return as delivery Pokémon until March 17 at 9:59 p.m. PT.

To celebrate its 3.5 years, Pokémon Masters EX received trainers Cynthia, Lance, Alder, Iris, Diantha, and Steven. Additionally, Hop got paired with Zapdos, Bede with Articuno, and Marnie with Moltres. Players can also get a present of 3,000 gems starting Feb. 27, according to the announcement.

Pokémon Sleep release date and how it works

The Pokémon Sleep launch date will be later this year for iOS and Android devices. The idea behind this game is to make players look forward to waking up in the morning. Players leave their phone beside them when falling asleep. As they rest, their sleep will be recorded, measured, and analyzed by the game. Pokémon that match a player's sleep style gather around the in-game Snorlax.

Pokémon Go Plus+ accessory

Available for purchase on July 14, the Pokémon Go Plus+ device can be used with Pokémon Sleep and Pokémon Go. The device measures your sleep data after you press it before bed and when you wake up. Pikachu can sing lullabies, become friendlier, and unlock new alarm sounds. As for Pokémon Go, players can press the accessory to throw different Pokéballs and spin Pokéstops.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet DLC and more Pokémon Day 2023 reveals

Next, new Paradox Pokémon Walking Wake and Iron Leaves have appeared in the Paldea region. While Walking Wake is in Pokémon Scarlet and a Water/Dragon type, Iron Leaves can be found in Pokémon Violet as a Grass/Psychic type. Players can get these by winning a Tera Raid Battle event.

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will soon be able to Pokémon Go as well. Pokémon Go players will be able to receive in-game gifts and postcards from around the world and send them to Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Vivillon patterns will change based on the location data of postcards. Those who send postcards will be able to get Gimmighoul coins to evolve it. The livestream added that Pokémon Home support will be arriving early this year.

Moreover, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will get the Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC. While the first part will feature The Teal Mask, the second part will have The Indigo Disk. The respective planned release dates are fall of this year and winter 2023.
