The latest title heading to Riyadh.

EA Sports FC 2024 has been officially announced as the latest game to join the Esports World Cup lineup.

The event, taking place this summer in Riyadh, will feature a huge library of games. Organisations will compete across titles to earn additional prize money.

Gamers8, the event that the Esports World Cup is succeeding, hosted a FIFAe Event last summer.

EA Sports FC to continue fast rise at Esports World Cup

EA Sports FC always seemed a likely candidate to join the Esports World Cup lineup this summer. Despite a rebrand to both the games title and their pro circuit format, EA Sports FC has been remarkably successful across their FC Pro Circuit since the game released.

The recent FC Pro Open set a record for the most popular tournament in EA football esports history. Both their Global Qualifier and regular FC Pro season maintained an average of over 300,000 viewers across the event.

It is clear that there is a lot of appetite for EA Sports FC competition. While there is not yet details on how the competition will work, it is expected that it will be the biggest prize pool in the games calendar. The Gamers8 event was a substantially bigger prized event than the regular EA ran circuit.

The only announcement today, revealed that qualification for the event will be done through Dreamhack as well as by invitation.

There is a chance that this event might even break the records set by the FC Pro Open and Online Qualifier.

The FIFAe World Cup 2023 was the second most popular FIFA 23 tournament of the entire year, proving substantially popular. The high prize pools attract a star studded roster of the biggest names, enticing fans to tune in to the event.

With FC Pro proving so successful, this summers event in Riyadh could be the most popular EA Football title event in the publishers history.
