CR7 invests $40 million in UFL, a football simulation game.

Football star, Cristiano Ronaldo invested $40 million in upcoming football game, UFL. The virtual football simulation game has been attracting attention from the community, promising to rival other titles such as EAFC and eFootball.

The news was announced on the official UFL Twitter/X page on Dec. 12.

The new investment also sees the Portuguese player's rivalry with Lionel Messi spread to video games. Messi, co-owner of KRÜ Esports, is one of Konami's eFootball ambassadors. Now, CR7, as he's know to fans, will invest in one of the "rival" games of the Konami title.

Eugene Nashilov, CEO of Strikerz, developer of UFL, shared the news on his X account and commented: "I've already said that, but I will repeat: UFL is the hottest opportunity in games and with such a stellar board we will help it grow to incredible heights."

All we know about UFL

Cristiano Ronaldo has invested in the UFL, which has "free and fair to play" as its motto. You can read on the UFL website: "Master the pitch with realistic plays and tactics, build your club from the ground up, and rise in the ranks to become the champions of the UFL universe! Rich metagame, continuous progress, and fair philosophy.”

The game is from developer Strikerz Inc. and built with the Unreal Engine. UFL will be available on Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Series S.

The game had its first trailer in 2021 and has several initiatives to allow several players to have access to the test version of the game. Players can now sign up to put the UFL game on their Wishlist in PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
