Could Fallout 3 get a remake? Many fans believe so

With The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion getting an official remake, many Bethesda fans believe the company may give us a Fallout 3 remake, too. The popular RPG has been a staple within the Fallout world for years now, and still has quite a large fanbase, meaning a remake would do incredibly well.

There is quite a bit of speculation around whether or not Fallout 3 will receive a remake. While nothing has ever been confirmed by Bethesda, the excitement surrounding the Oblivion remake has been absolutely astounding.

In fact, the upcoming remaster has gotten loads of traffic online, and it has not even been fully announced by Bethesda.

So, the next game released by the company was Fallout 3. Does this mean we could see a remake of the classic post-apocalyptic RPG in the future? While there is no yes or no answer to this question, it is extremely possible that we will see a Fallout 3 remake, especially if the Oblivion remake does well.

Many believe Fallout 3 will be the next remake Bethesda works on (if they do go down the remake route again), due to the game's popularity when it first released. In fact, many believe that Fallout 3 was what Fallout 4 could have been.

The game did everything right, where its predecessor, Fallout 4, failed to emphasize many of the aspects that made Fallout 3 so great.

Also, thanks to Unreal Engine 5, these remakes have become quite easy for game studios to put out. Oblivion was remastered in Unreal Engine 5, and it would not be too difficult for Bethesda to remaster Fallout 3 in there, too.

Back in 2023, when the Oblivion remake first leaked, there were also some leaks speculating around a Fallout 3 remake aside from it. These, however, have had less confirmation. We will simply have to wait and see how well the Oblivion remake does before we hear anything about a Fallout 3 remake.

Bethesda is doing quite a bit. Well, they are doing anything but giving us Elder Scrolls VI, that is.

If you hop on X, you will almost certainly see a few posts of people speculating around the release of a Fallout 3 remake, or at least talking about how much they are hoping for one.

In fact, many believe that the game, in fact, will be released after the Oblivion remake.

While there have been fewer leaks for a Fallout 3 remake, there are still some people sharing images around social media that are said to be official screenshots from the game's upcoming remake. However, none of these images are confirmed to be real or not.

Fallout 3 first released back in 2008, and instantly put the series at the top. With popular actor, Liam Neeson, starring in the game, the buzz around Fallout 3 was unreal.

The game has made the series one of the biggest RPG series in all of gaming, with a TV show even being made after it. Fallout, the TV show, can be watched on Amazon, and was ultimately recieved quite well upon its release back in 2024.

With an expansive world, horrifying creatures and a unique array of weapons, Fallout 3 has won the hearts of many over the years as one of the greatest RPGs ever created. Would you like to see it get a remake?
