The Assassin's Creed Shadows release date is February 14, 2025. According to an official announcement, the team behind the game needs more time to polish and refine some key features.

"As such, we've made the decision to postpone the release date to February 14, 2025," the post stated.

Pre-ordered copies of the game are getting refunded as well. Meanwhile "all future preorders will be granted the first expansion for free."

What is Assassin's Creed Shadows?

Assassin's Creed Shadows showcases feudal Japan. According to Ubisoft, players can expect castle towns, ports, shrines, and more. Folks can also expect changing seasons, reactive environments, and unpredictable weather.

In terms of the protagonist, players can decide between Naoe and Yasuke. While Naoe is a shinobi assassin who seeks revenge, Yasuke is a samurai who wants to confront his past demons.

Players can expect the game to be on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The official Ubisoft website also mentioned Amazon Luna, iPad, Macs with Apple silicon via the Mac App Store, plus the Ubisoft Store and the Epic Games Store.
