Here is the countdown to the day of Assassin's Creed Shadows' launch. This countdown is set for March 20 at 12 a.m. PT. We will update this countdown with the exact time once that's officially confirmed by the game's developers.

The Assassin's Creed Shadows release date is Match 20, 2025. According to an official announcement, the team behind the game needs more time to implement community feedback. The original release date was November 15, 2024. Then, it got pushed to February 14, 2025 before the current Match 20, 2025 launch date.

"Since November, we’ve been thrilled to share our progress through Gameplay Overviews, and the overwhelming excitement has truly inspired us," the latest post on the matter stated. "Each week has brought valuable feedback from our community. While we’ve already made remarkable strides, we believe a few additional weeks are needed to implement that feedback and ensure an even more ambitious and engaging day-one experience."

As confirmed by an official post in 2024, pre-ordered copies of the game are getting refunded. Meanwhile "all future preorders will be granted the first expansion for free."

Here is the first trailer for Assassin’s Creed Shadows. It premiered on May 15, 2024 at 9 a.m. PT, giving folks an initial look at the game.

Assassin's Creed Shadows showcases feudal Japan. According to Ubisoft, players can expect castle towns, ports, shrines, and more. Folks can also expect changing seasons, reactive environments, and unpredictable weather.

In terms of the protagonist, players can decide between Naoe and Yasuke. While Naoe is a shinobi assassin who seeks revenge, Yasuke is a samurai who wants to confront his past demons.

Players can expect the game to be on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. The official Ubisoft website also mentioned Amazon Luna, iPad, Macs with Apple silicon via the Mac App Store, plus the Ubisoft Store and the Epic Games Store.
