Experienced writer wanted for full-time position in the Fog. Must be good with killer dolls. Inquire within… If you make it that far.
Behaviour Studios announced earlier today that Alan Wake will be the next DLC character added to Dead by Daylight. He joins the in-game ranks of horror icons like Freddy Krueger, Chucky, the Demogorgon, and... Nicolas Cage. The newest Dead by Daylight DLC in Alan Wake will be available later this month.
A literary nightmare
The trailer for Alan Wake’s DLC shows the writer investigating the Fog at his desk while it creeps up on him from all sides. The Fog eventually claims him when he picks up his flashlight to investigate a light in the distance. Once he has crossed into the realm of the Entity, Alan Wake discovers a foreboding sign for his future; a body with an ax lodged into its back.
When does the DBD Alan Wake DLC drop?
The Alan Wake DLC for Dead by Daylight will be available on January 30, 2024. With the recent success of Alan Wake 2 in 2023, it’s not too surprising to see the character pop up in more media. Sam Luke, Creative Director of Remedy Entertainment, said this about adding Alan Wake to Dead by Daylight, “We are thrilled to bring Alan Wake, our tortured writer, into the acclaimed Dead by Daylight. We feel the lore of our two horror experiences is a match made in the Dark Place and can’t wait to experience the horrors that await him in the Fog.”
