The console version of FragPunk is being delayed, just a couple of short days before the game was to launch globally.
FragPunk is ready to launch globally on March 6, 2025. Well, it may be globally, but it is not for everyone. The team at FragPunk just announced that the console version of the game is facing a delay, without a concrete new launch date.
Neither PlayStation users or Xbox users will be able to enjoy FragPunk when those on PC can. They team gave an explanation and intend on providing compensation, so let's dive into the details.
FragPunk to launch on PC, console version delayed
On March 4, 2025, FragPunk took to their official X account to reveal the delay of any console version. After expressing gratitude for players excited to try the game out on PlayStation and Xbox systems, they had this to say:
"However, we want to be fully transparent with you: during the console compliance testing process, we encountered unexpected technical challenges in optimization and adaptation."
They state that rather than rushing a console version out and deliver a poor user experience, they have decided to delay the game's launch on console. The hope is to bring players a comparable experience to those who play on PC.
At this time, they have not revealed any launch date for a console version. We'll update you whenever they set a firm release window for FragPunk on console, and if they discuss any longer delay than originally intended.

Compensation for console players
After revealing the delay, FragPunk's developers did note compensation for any console users. This includes those who pre-ordered and weapon skins and bundles in the game.
All rewards earned via engagement from the start of Season 1 onward, until the console version goes live, will be given to console players once they load in for the first time. Pre-orders will have to be canceled, but those who did will get $10 in-game currency.
There won't be a new pre-order window because of the FragPunk console delay, but they state that the console specific bundle will be available for a limited-time when it officially releases.
