Popular video game franchise, Yakuza, is headed to Fortnite. When, thouhg?
The popular video game franchise, Yakuza, is rumored to join the world of Fortnite, but when? Here is everything we know about the upcoming collaboration.
Yakuza to come to Fortnite soon
The popular crime-action video game series and film have been leaked online by various trusted X Fortnite leakers, revealing that Yakuza characters will be coming to Fortnite in the near future. However, no one has leaked an official date.
"YAKUZA (Kazuma & Goro) x FORTNITE — COMING SOON," said popular Fortnite leaker, Hypex, on X.

While someone saying "coming soon" seems promising, this could literally still mean months before the actual collaboration is released. Usually, Fortnite will not announce the collaboration until right before it goes live.
However, Chapter 6 Season 2 begins in just a week, meaning we could see the collaboration take place as part of the upcoming new season.

At the moment, only two skins are known to be a part of the collaboration: Kazuma Kiryu and Goro Majima.
These two are primary characters within the franchise, as Kazuma is actually the game series' main protagonist. Both characters first appeared in the beginning of the franchise, which happened with the first game's release back in 2005.

Depending on the popularity of this collaboration, we could see additional Yakuza skins come to the game. Unfortunately, though, this collaboration may not resonate as well with the Fortnite fanbase as the game series is more popular amongst millennials.
Still, Yakuza coming to Fortnite is a prime example of how popular the Battle Royale is these days as they continue to work with just about every franchise within pop culture.
