Fortnite just put out a new patch. Here is everything in the game’s newest update.

The popular Battle Royale has released a new update, and fans are jumping into the Battle Royale to see what's new. From new skins to even a countdown for the game's next event, here is everything included in today's (May 29, 2025) Fortnite update.

What is in the new Fortnite update today?

Fortnite is notorious for throwing out updates like it is candy. The game is constantly giving fans new material to explore, from new skins to new locations, items and more. So, what is in the new Fortnite update today?

Well, it looks like Fortnite has added a few new items and more to the game. Below is everything added to Fortnite in the game's newest update, as posted by the popular leaker, Hypex, on Twitter:

  • Sith Rey, Sabrina Emote and more.
  • Free rewards & Star Destroyer gameplay.
  • Event countdown.

Sith Rey heads to Fortnite in new update

The popular game has added a brand new Star Wars skin amid its Star Wars season: Sith Rey. Ever heard of her? The evil version of the infamous character was seen in a short vision in Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

While Sith Rey is not an actual primary character in Star Wars, it is still incredibly cool to see her get a skin in Fortnite, just as Darth Jar Jar was given one.

The Star Destroyer is now ready to fly (and attack)

If you have been playing Fortnite's newest season, you will notice a massive ship floating in the air. The Star Destroyer, which is a spaceship from Star Wars, is now flyable. Yes, this means you can take a portal to get into the Star Destroyer and use it to reign terror on the island.

This new feature will absolutely shake up the way Forthite is played, but hasn't this season already done that?

Fortnite definitely knows how to switch things up, that is for sure.

Fortnite to add new event countdown

Fortnite's finale to the popular Star Wars season is only a week away (June 7, 2025), and the game has finally decided to add a countdown within the game. This means, whenever you join the main lobby, you will see a massive timer slowly making its way to June 7 when the event begins.

This will be Fortnite's ending event to the Star Wars season as it kicks us into Chapter 6, Season 4. It will more than likely require players to fight the Star Destroyer and other members of the First Order. Do you have what it takes?
