A Fortnite x Toy Story collab has leaked. The crossover will feature in-game skins based on Buzz, Woody, and Zurg!
Fortnite’s ongoing partnership with Disney is in full force. The game recently welcomed Tom Lizard from Pixar’s ‘Hoppers’ as a playable character, which may have been a sample of what’s to come. A recent leak suggests a Fortnite Toy Story collab is on the horizon.
The source has confirmed that three of the series’s most recognizable characters will become skins ahead of Toy Story 5’s release this summer. Here’s what we know about this partnership.
Buzz Lightyear, Woody, and Zurg to headline Fortnite x Toy Story collab
Many Disney characters have made their way into Fortnite up to this point. Some notable names include villains Captain Hook, Maleficent and even Pixar characters Mr. Incredible, Mrs. Incredible, and Frozone. With Toy Story 5 set to release on June 19, 2025, the timing couldn’t be more perfect for a Fortnite collab.
According to leaker FNBRIntel, this crossover has no confirmed release date, but it will feature the dynamic duo of Buzz Lightyear and Woody alongside Buzz’s in-universe archenemy, Zurg.
Unfortunately, that covers everything that has leaked thus far regarding the Fortnite x Toy Story collab. We can safely assume this crossover will include much more, such as Emotes, Back Blings, and maybe even a Glider or two. Whether Fortnite will base these on the new film or the first four is a mystery.
When can we expect this collab?
The safest assumption without confirmation is that Buzz, Woody, and Zurg may join the game closer to the Toy Story 5 release date. That could be weeks or months beforehand to capitalize on the anticipation around the film.
It’s also worth noting that Chapter 7 Season 2 might conclude on May 19, which would be the ideal time to include Toy Story characters in the Season 3 Battle Pass. Only time will tell as we move closer to the June release date for the latest installment in the series.
