Ever thought you would see Valorant in Fortnite?

It's always great to see creators become... well... creative. When it comes to designing maps in Fortnite, many people have gone above and beyond with what they design. One creator took a famous Valorant map and recreated it in Fortnite, making an incredibly similar experience to the popular first-person shooter.

Modeled after Split, the famous Valorant map, this UEFN (Unreal Engine Fortnite) project delivers an experience some are saying looks better than Valorant itself.

ThisPotatoGuy is notorious for coming up with impressive and unique maps and more within Fortnite Creative. In the past, the map creator had created a portal gun, which operates like the ones in games like Portal and Splitgate.

Now, though, ThisPotatoGuy was able to import an entire Valorant map (Split) into Fortnite Creative.

So, how did he do it?

ThisPotatoGuy talks how he was able to recreate Valorant map in Fortnite

Every creator takes inspiration from another title before creating their own masterpiece. For ThisPotatoGuy, developing a Valorant map in Fortnite began when he was immersing himself in competitive Valorant.

"I was watching a pro Valorant game and was inspired to recreate some mechanics from Valorant in Fortnite," said ThisPotatoGuy in an exclusive interview. "But I thought I should have the environment to go with it first, so I had to figure out how to do that."

Once ThisPotatoGuy sat down, there was no stopping him. He was determined to create a Forntite map that embodied the world of Valorant.

"Overall, it took around eight hours to figure out how to get the map into UE5 (Unreal Engine 5), make it compatible with UEFN and clean up a lot of the textures and bugs."

After that process had finished, the rest was history. ThisPotatoGuy had successfully added an entire map from a completely different game into Fortnite.

This is where the future of gaming begins.
