What’s cooler than Sub-Zero in Fortnite?
Fortnite x Mortal Kombat is officially happening. This collaboration seemed impossible for the longest time, considering Mortal Kombat is famous for its graphic content and Fortnite isn't. However, Epic Games has confirmed that Sub-Zero will feature in the Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2 Battle Pass.
This article provides a first look at Sub-Zero in Fortnite and when you can get this skin.
Sub-Zero Fortnite Skin: First look and release date
Social media has exploded following confirmation that Sub-Zero will be in the Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2 Battle Pass. The image above is exactly what you can expect when the new season drops on Friday, Feb. 21. This version of Sub-Zero is Kuai Liang, the younger brother of Bi-Han, who was the Sub-Zero depicted in the first game.
You can tell it's Kuai Liang since he has a scar over his right eye. Sub-Zero's Fortnite Skin also draws from his appearance in the classic games, particularly Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3. The cryomancer has his iconic blue outfit and mask.
However, it is worth pointing out that Kuai Liang did not wear the traditional ninja garb in UMK3. Sub-Zero will likely have alternate Fortnite styles, but those have not surfaced yet. There could be a maskless version like in Mortal Kombat 3 or perhaps different shades of blue. We'll have to wait and see.

Who else from Mortal Kombat will be in Fortnite?
As fate would have it, leaks have confirmed that Scorpion will also appear in Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2. Rather than being a Battle Pass Skin, the undead specter will be available in the Item Shop. Unfortunately, the Scorpion Fortnite Skin hasn't emerged yet, but we anticipate it will in the coming weeks.
With Sub-Zero and Scorpion confirmed, there's no telling who could be next or what else could happen. It's an exciting crossover nonetheless, and the possibilities are endless.
