They won’t increase your speed, but these Sonic sneakers might be the Fortnite drip you need.

Fortnite and collaborations are a duo that has remained undefeated throughout the game's eight-year history. However, there's always room for more, and Fortnite fans who also enjoy Sonic the Hedgehog are in for a treat in the coming weeks. Unfortunately, this crossover won't happen as most would hope.

Sonic and his rival Shadow will soon join the Fortnite craze as in-game shoe cosmetics of all things. Here's what we know and a first look at the Kicks.

Sonic and Shadow Kicks are coming to Fortnite

This collaboration is courtesy of the lifestyle and clothing brand PUMA, which announced a line of Sonic-inspired shoes last month, set for release on October 30. The brand revealed three pairs of sneakers themed appropriately to Sonic, Shadow, and Tails.

Unfortunately for Tails fans, only the Sonic and Shadow Fortnite Kicks have leaked ahead of the collaboration. Regardless, they could very well be the first of many collaborations with the beloved SEGA franchise.

Above are the leaked images, courtesy of iFireMonkey, which clearly depict Sonic's shoe design in the first image and Shadow's shoe design in the second image. Although we don't have a complete look at the in-game Kicks, the design is identical to the Sonic x PUMA sneakers.

When will the shoes be in the Item Shop? How much will they cost?

The answers to both questions remain a mystery for now, considering the leaks happened just today. However, based on previous Fortnite Kicks, we expect the Sonic versions to cost upward of 1,200 V-Bucks. That's an estimation based on some of the more sought-after shoes we've seen in the game before.

As for the release date, that could occur anywhere from now through Oct. 30. It would stand to reason that PUMA would want the in-game version of these sneakers to arrive closer to the actual release date.
