Popular pop duo, “Silk Sonic”, officially makes their Fornite item shop debut Thursday, February 10.

Fortnite is notorious for adding popular media figures into their item shop. They have an entire series for it titled the “Icon Series”. In the past, we have seen celebrities such as Travis Scott, Ariana Grande, Marshmellow, and more. This time, they are adding pop stars, Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak, aka “Silk Sonic” into their online item shop.

When will their skins be available?

Silk Sonic’s Fortnite skins will enter the item shop on February 10. There is a large selection of outfits too to fit the dynamic pop duo. This allows for players to utilize and show off their character’s snazzy styles.

The skins will not only be available within the item shop, but Fortnite also announced that there will be a Silk Sonic Cup, which will be happening on February 7. This gives players a chance to obtain these skins strictly through skilled gameplay, instead of spending money in the item shop.

Who Is Silk Sonic?

Silk Sonic was created by popular artists Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak. They are defined as an American R&B super duo. Both pop stars bring a unique style to the table, blending together a jazz type of music that isn’t normally heard on the radio.

The group made its debut back in March of 2021, when they released the hit single, “Leave the Door Open”. This popular release was followed up by an album in November of 2021 called, “An Evening with Silk Sonic”.

How much will these skins cost?

At the current moment, that is unknown. Fortnite usually holds their Icon Series skins at around 1,400 V-Bucks per skin, 1,000 V-Bucks being around $7.99 USD. There will also be a bundle, where you can purchase every Silk Sonic skin for one price. This price is still unknown.
