YouTuber Rubius has joined the Fortnite Icon Series! Here’s when you can get his in-game skin and more!
Popular Spanish YouTuber Rubius has finally revealed his Fortnite Icon Series skin. On Sept. 14, the content creator announced that he would debut the world premiere of his Fortnite cosmetic set the following day. Sure enough, fans got their first look at the newest Icon Series collaboration. Here's everything we learned and when you can purchase the set.
Rubius Fortnite Icon Series skin: First look and release date
The revelation went down on Rubius's Twitch channel, where he showcased his entire Fortnite Icon Series bundle. It includes a Fortnite skin with a few different selectable styles, a Backbling, and a Pickaxe.
Perhaps the standout cosmetic is the Backbling, which was inspired by the creator's own pet, Wilson the Cat. Otherwise, the Rubius Fortnite skin utilized his facial likeness while adding some spicy alternate styles to bring complete the bundle. Those who purchase the skin will receive the LEGO variant to use in LEGO Fortnite.
Rubius also announced an Icon Series Emote, but it's unclear whether that will be in the bundle. The Rubius bundle will be released in the Fortnite Item Shop on Sept. 25 at 8 p.m. ET.

According to leakers, the Rubius bundle will run you 2,400 V-Bucks. However, these reports did not clarify how much the individual pieces will cost. We expect to hear more over the next couple of days.
How to get the Rubius Fortnite skin early
If you just can't wait to play as the Rubius, you can compete in the Rubius Cup. This in-game Fortnite tournament will take place on Sept. 21. Those who participate and place high enough in their respective region will receive the Rubius bundle three days early.
