Star Wars is coming to Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN), which will allow creators to build their own experiences for all to play!

Fortnite's inaugural Star Wars-themed season concludes in just a few days. However, Epic Games has confirmed that players will soon have the opportunity to build Star Wars experiences in Unreal Editor for Fortnite (UEFN).

This announcement was made during the State of Unreal 2025, which also included other revelations regarding the future of the game's UEFN toolset. That means, at a future date to be determined, creators can utilize Lightsabers, Force Abilities, and more in creative maps.

Everything we know about Star Wars in Fortnite's UEFN creator

Epic Games did not divulge much information regarding Star Wars assets being available in Fortnite Creative. However, it's worth speculating that Epic will include the various environments, weapons, and other items present in the Galactic Battle season.

For example, creators may have the opportunity to offer Lightsabers, Blasters, and potentially even Force Abilities in their hand-crafted UEFN maps. If this were the case, the possibilities would be endless. Creators could theoretically build Lightsaber dueling maps and other spins on already-established ideas.

Unlike the Squid Game announcement, Epic did not specify when the Star Wars assets would be available to map makers. The official FNCreate account indicated "more to come soon," which could mean anything.

Battlefront 3 in Fortnite becomes a real possibility

Given the recent influx of players in Star Wars Battlefront 2, the door is now open for some or multiple iterations of Battlefront 3 in Fortnite. While not the same engine, it would be interesting to see how elaborate these Star Wars maps could become.

Fortnite is the perfect game to emulate Battlefront's gameplay, considering the third-person perspective and overall combat mechanics. UEFN will now offer a comprehensive set of Star Wars weapons and skins to bring the potential of this idea full circle.

Fans have already begun requesting that Battlefront 3 become a reality using UEFN, and once the collaboration begins, the floodgates will open.

More AI NPCs are coming to UEFN later this year

AI Darth Vader was a highlight of the Galactic Battle season. Epic Games even aired a brief compilation of popular streamers interacting with the character during the State of Unreal. Following this clip, Epic confirmed that AI NPCs are coming to UEFN.

While the extent of this is unknown, players could theoretically interact with any number of characters available in Fortnite. It's unclear whether this will tie in directly with the Star Wars UEFN update, but the thought of conversing with other well-known characters is intriguing.
