An X account named Kurrco was the first to report this collaboration. While their source is a mystery, many of the Fortnite scene's reliable leakers have seemingly verified the report. Sure enough, Carti himself confirmed the rumors via an Instagram post, writing "NAHH FR," under a plain Fortnite logo.
This follows news that also recently broke regarding a crossover with Lisa of the K-Pop group BLACKPINK. These two collabs alone are massive for Fortnite but will be different.
What to expect in the crossover
Kurrco specifically stated that Fortnite x Playboi Carti partnership would feature a skin and in-game event. We've seen similar situations play out in Fortnite over the past nine years.
Other rap artists such as Travis Scott, Eminem, and the late Juice WRLD have had Fortnite skins and events created in their honor. The reports indicate Playboi Carti is in line for a similar treatment.
