Sith Rey is coming to Fortnite as part of the leaked “Apprentice Rey” skin, which reportedly launches on May 30!
Fortnite will soon make another fantasy a reality in the Star Wars Universe, according to confirmed leaks. Sith Rey, who briefly appeared in The Rise of Skywalker, will become a playable in-game character. Although the character never came to life on film, Fortnite plans to release this skin on Friday, May 30.
With Darth Jar Jar already available in the game, Epic Games figures to end the current Star Wars season emphatically. This article outlines what is known about the leaked Rey skin, including its cost and additional details.
Sith Rey comes to Fortnite on May 30 in a truly unexpected move
The fulfillment of Darth Jar Jar felt like more than enough amid the inaugural Star Wars-centric season. However, Fortnite leaker SpushFNBR confirmed that a character referred to as "Apprentic Rey" will enter the Item Shop on Friday, May 30 at 8 p.m. ET.
Spush included an image of Rey from a vision depicted in Rise of Skywalker, meaning this skin will feature a Sith version of the character. The skin itself will cost 1,500 V-Bucks, while you can grab everything associated with the character in a bundle for 2,000 V-Bucks.
Here is a complete breakdown of the different items included and how much each costs:
- Apprentice Rey Outfit (includes LEGO and Dark Side alternate style) - 1,500 V-Bucks
- Sacred Jedi Text Back Bling - 400 V-Bucks
- Ochi's Blade Pickaxe - 500 V-Bucks
- Rey's Speeder Glider - 800 V-Bucks
- Jakku Barter Emote - 300 V-Bucks
- Lil' Sandcrawler Emote - 500 V-Bucks
- The Last Jedi Wrap - 500 V-Bucks
- Bundle - 2,000 V-Bucks
While the skin doesn't appear to revolve around the Dark Side version, "Apprentice Rey" could mean her appearance in The Last Jedi during her Jedi training. We should know for sure in the coming days once the items are decrypted.

Fortnite players react to the newest Star Wars skin
The immediate reaction to this leak leaned negative on X. Many felt Rey didn't need another skin when she is already in the game, especially with characters like Ventress, Dooku, and C-3PO still sitting on the sidelines.
However, it is worth noting that Fortnite has already burned through much of the Star Wars Universe, including Darth Vader, Darth Maul, several Stormtroopers, and Clone Troopers. The developers may reserve some of these characters for future collaborations.
From our perspective, Sith Rey fulfills a character fans only caught a glimpse of in the source material. It was an interesting direction the series could have taken, but it's the alternate universe we may never experience. The same sentiment applies to Darth Jar Jar, a glorified fan theory that never came to fruition.
