Is Travis Scott coming back to Fortnite? This is what we know.

Over four years have passed since the Travis Scott skin was last available to purchase in Fortnite. While Epic Games never explicitly provided a reason, many theorize that controversies surrounding the popular rapper contributed to the current situation. However, recent developments in the scene have led leakers to believe the collaboration could return soon. Here is what we know about Travis Scott potentially coming back to Fortnite.

Travis Scott appears in Ice Spice's "Oh Shhh" Fortnite Jam Track

The Grammy-nominated rap artist has remained absent from the game following the infamous Astroworld Festival incident back in 2021. A prevailing theory is that this controversy forced Epic Games to keep Travis Scott out of Fortnite entirely. However, the recent addition of Ice Spice's song "Oh Shhh" to the game's Festival mode could be good news for Travis Scott fans.

This track features Travis Scott, who has a verse in the song while also taking part in the chorus. As a result, Fortnite leaker HYPEX and others feel this could be a step in the right direction.

Taking this idea one step further, Oh Shhh plays in full at the new Ice Isle point of interest (POI) in the game. That means Travis Scott's lyrics echo throughout this Fortnite location, lending more to the theory that Epic Games could add him reintroduce him in this season. It's also worth mentioning that Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney said that Travis Scott is "welcome back" on X in 2023.

So, is he coming back to Fortnite?

While the evidence is compelling, it's completely unclear whether Travis Scott is coming back to Fortnite. Truthfully, only Epic Games could answer that question. This season could be the best opportunity, seeing as it revolves around rappers like Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Ice Spice, and even Juice WRLD.

The evidence exists, but unfortunately, it's circumstantial and nothing concrete. We've seen skins such like Will Smith's Mike Lowrey missing for similar theoretical reasons. However, Epic Games typically remains tight-lipped regarding the reason certain skins and other cosmetics disappear.

To this day, Travis Scott remains one of the most sought-after Fortnite skins, with many professional players using it in tournaments. Its rarity and reputation precedes it, and only time will tell if a return is on the horizon.
