Is new Linkin Park coming to Fortnite? Band hints at its return to the Battle Royale

The popular rock band, Linkin Park, has already joined the world of Fortnite with their song "Numb" being a playable jam in Fortnite Festival. However, the band hinted on Twitter recently that they may be adding new era Linkin Park to the game, featuring songs with their new vocalist, Emily Armstrong.

In a recent Twitter post, Linkin Park hinted at new-era music of theirs to come to Fortnite Festival. So, what is the new-era Linkin Park?

Back in 2017, the band's beloved singer, Chester Bennington, passed away. Since then, the band has taken a hiatus from making new music. However, Linkin Park recently announced a brand new singer, Emily Armstrong.

While many were skeptical about someone taking over Bennington's legacy, many gladly welcomed her in, allowing for a new era of Linkin Park.

Earlier today, a random fan tweeted to Fortnite Festival saying, "Please add new era Linkin Park." The band then quote-tweeted the original tweet with two eye emojis, hinting at the fact that something may be in the work.

This could also just be the band saying, "We agree." There really is no basis behind whether this tweet truly means something or not, but a fan can hope for the best, right?

Many reputable leakers online, however, think this is a pretty obvious hint at a new Linkin Park x Fortnite Festival collaboration.

Having the new Linkin Park in Fortnite Festival would be incredibly entertaining, as fans would be able to jam out to the new songs with their Rock Band controllers and more.

Linking Park is one of the most popular rock bands around. With eight studio albums, the band has made waves within the rock and nu-metal community. The band also gained a huge wave of popularity back in the late 2000s with the release of the first Transformers movie, where their music was used as the theme of the movie series.

Sadly, back in 2017, the band's lead singer, Chester Bennington, was found dead of suicide. While the band had performed live after Bennington's death, they had not released new music nor found a new lead singer.

Just in 2024, though, Linkin Park announced their newest singer, Emily Armstrong. With Armstrong joining the band, this meant new music from Linkin Park. The band has released three singles with Armstrong on vocals, as they hint at a brand-new album release in the future.

Fortnite Festival is a separate game mode in Fortnite that players can choose to play instead of the regular battle royale. The game mode is similar to popular titles such as Guitar Hero and Rock Band, where players have to jam along to different songs.

However, Fortnite Festival allows gamers to use their favorite Fortnite skins and is constantly adding additional Jam Tracks for gamers to play along to. The game is also in collaboration with Rock Band as it lets players utilize Rock Band controllers when playing.
